This diverse property consists of 1,000 acres located along the banks of the Turkey River near Elgin, Iowa.  The park offers a modern campground with 27 electrical hookups and a bathhouse. Nearly 10 miles of wooded trails are open to hikers, non-motorized bikes, and horseback riders. Several backpacking sites are also available to willing hikers. A paved bike trail connects the modern campground to the Gilbertson Nature Center. No matter your interest, Gilbertson's has something to offer for everyone!
